  2022-10-08

OCA has recently been approved for the treatment of patients with PBC and is under study for diseases such as NASH, PSC and biliary atresia [30], [49]. Up to now, the beneficial effects of OCA have been related to its anti-cholestatic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic properties. We have here rep

Consistently with the above discoveries, it has been also shown that in cardiomyocytes with shRNA-down-regulated FBP2, mitochondria are more susceptible to depolarisation (Gizak et al., 2012a) and H2O2-induced oxidative stress (Wiśniewski et al., 2017). In OR-486 overexpressing FBP2 (cardiomyocytes

  2022-10-08

The Rho family of GTPases is composed of many small ubiquitous signaling G proteins that bind to guanosine triphosphate (GTP) and hydrolyze it to guanosine diphosphate (GDP). They act as switches: when binding to GTP, they are active and associate with a variety of target proteins that regulate intr

  2022-10-08

Evidence indicates that astrocytes play a role in the modulation of NMDAR activity in the CA1 (Henneberger et al., 2010; Papouin et al., 2017a, Papouin et al., 2017b; Robin et al., 2018). Therefore, we sought to examine whether astrocytes are involved in the H1 receptor antagonist/inverse agonist-in

Family A Receptors as Promiscuous Sensors for Peptone and Free Fatty Acids (FFAs) In addition to the family C 7TM receptors, several family A 7TM receptors are promiscuous in their ligand preferences, and several respond to organic nutrients from food, notably protein degradation products and FFA

• Using RT PCR we demonstrated the expression

  2022-10-04

Using RT-PCR we demonstrated the expression of GPR55 receptor mRNA in the ileum and colon of mice, which is in good agreement with previous reports (Lin et al., 2011). The quantitative analysis showed the abundance of GPR55 mRNA in the mucosa of the ileum and colon. In contrast, in LMMP preparations

• The spatial effects of Ebi

  2022-10-04

The spatial effects of Ebi2 involve the creation of a moderate bias in CD4+ T cell distribution toward the LN periphery. Is this modest effect meaningful in an evolutionary sense? In this regard, we think the following considerations are relevant. First, asymmetric CD4+ T cell positioning is highly

  2022-10-04

We were able to obtain several crystalline forms of CHAV Gth. The first one corresponded to the post-fusion conformation [14]. The comparison of this structure with that of VSV-Gth post-fusion conformation revealed that the PHD is the most divergent domain, with the largest differences confined to t

  2022-10-04

Previous studies have shown that zinc interacts with other allosteric modulators at the glycine receptor (Kirson et al., 2013, McCracken et al., 2010, McCracken et al., 2013). Of note, the chelation of zinc via tricine decreases the effects of alcohol at α1-, α2-, and α3-containing glycine receptors

Next, we investigated the accumulation of [3H]-ribavirin in fresh villous fragments of human placenta, which provide a physiologically relevant, well-described and validated model for assessing drug interactions with ENTs [32], [35], [69], [70]. The uptake of [3H]-ribavirin was time-dependent and si

  2022-10-02

Two recently developed, highly specific EZH2 enzymatic inhibitors, GSK126 and EPZ-6438, are currently in clinical trials for treating lymphomas (Kim and Roberts, 2016). Although these EZH2 inhibitors have shown antitumor effects in lymphoma cells with enzyme-activating mutations of EZH2 (Knutson et
